LoL streamer Drututt banned on Twitch for joke about how he gets “no women”

Twitch has suspended League of Legends streamer Maks ‘Drututt’ Przychodzień due to a hashtag used during his stream that the platform considers offensive towards women. However, Drututt claims the hashtag was misinterpreted and its meaning is being taken out of context.

Drututt, like a lot of League of Legends streamers, was live on Twitch when the new season launched, hoping to draw viewers with the hype. However, the title he chose for his stream sparked some debate.

He was banned from the platform on January 9th, marking his eighth suspension on the Amazon-owned service, according to StreamerBans.

So, apparently a hashtag I used on my stream caused some trouble, according to Drututt. Honestly, I was just making fun of myself – definitely didn’t mean any harm or try to offend anyone with it.

Drututt claims he was banned for “nowomen” hashtag

Shortly after the ban, Drututt revealed Twitch had banned him for a week.

He explained that his stream was taken down because he used the hashtag #NOWOMEN, alongside other tags like #RANGEDTOP and #UGLYIRL.

I received a 7-day ban after using the hashtag #NOWOMEN on my stream. It was placed near tags like #RANGEDTOP and #UGLYIRL. The ban was issued because it was considered misogynistic, but the hashtag was actually meant as a joke about a streamer who doesn’t get attention from women. I think getting banned for 7 days right at the start of the new season is ridiculous.

The streamer from Poland explained that Twitch thought his hashtag was offensive towards women, but he strongly disagreed and said that wasn’t his intention.

People are calling it sexist, but the tag was originally meant as a joke about a streamer who doesn’t have much interaction with women. Getting seven days of attention at the beginning of a new season is a great result.

After a streamer and Forsen revealed their new esports team name, ‘4 SWINES & A BUM,’ some people questioned whether Riot Games approved of the potentially provocative branding.

The streamer again insisted they aren’t sexist, responding to criticism by saying, “What’s the problem with not having any female friends?”

Someone else suggested using hashtags like “nogirlfriend” or “maidenless,” but Drututt already had a response prepared.

I’m having trouble finding the right words, but seriously, that hashtag isn’t worth keeping for seven days. At most, it should be a warning or just taken down, honestly.

He responded defensively, saying he didn’t use the word ‘maidenless’ intentionally and that Twitch should have either warned him about it or automatically removed the message.

It appears Twitch hasn’t changed its mind, and the streamer will probably have to complete his ban, even though he feels it was based on a mistake.
