Logan Paul sells the most expensive Pokemon card ever after paying $5.3M for it

Logan Paul recently sold an incredibly rare and valuable Pokémon card. He had purchased it several years prior for a significant $5.3 million.

The rarest and most valuable Pokemon card ever made is the elusive Pikachu Illustrator.

This card first appeared in 1997 and wasn’t sold in stores. Instead, it was given as a prize to the winners of an illustration contest held by CoroCoro magazine.

Logan Paul, known for his social media presence, broke the record for the most expensive Pokémon card ever sold. He purchased the card privately and famously wore it to his first wrestling match at WrestleMania.

After more than four years, Logan Paul has decided to sell the card, and it will be up for auction on February 15th.

Logan Paul finally sells Pikachu Illustrator in massive deal

In the latest season of the Netflix show King of Collectibles: The Goldin Touch, Paul worked out a deal with Ken Goldin to sell a very rare Pokémon card at auction.

During talks, Goldin shared his vision for a record-breaking Pokémon and trading card auction, offering Paul a share of the profits. He estimated the entire collection could potentially sell for $25 million.

Paul requested additional terms to sweeten the agreement, and after negotiating with Goldin, received an initial payment of $2.5 million.

The influencer shared on Instagram that Ken Goldin had been trying to buy a rare trading card, known as ‘the Grail,’ from them for years and finally succeeded. They admitted it was a difficult decision to sell, and aren’t sure the card will ever be available for purchase again, but they feel about 60% confident they made the right call.

Paul received a $2.5 million advance and will also share in the overall profits from the auction.

A major Pokémon and trading card auction will be held on February 15th, featuring my incredibly rare Pikachu Illustrator card – a perfect PSA 10, and widely considered the most valuable Pokémon card in the world. The card includes a custom chain, and I will personally deliver it to the winning bidder.

During an interview with Fox, Logan revealed the chain alone is worth $75,000.
