In simpler terms, Logan Paul is not accepting responsibility for Theo Von’s chair breaking during Donald Trump’s inauguration, instead, he defended himself in a clear video that explained how the incident happened.
On January 20, 2025, Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States. Many notable personalities graced the occasion at his inauguration, such as Joe Rogan, Mike Tyson, and the brothers Jake and Logan Paul.
To clarify, during the event, an amusing incident occurred when Theo Von’s seat collapsed during the ceremony, accidentally landing on Logan who happened to be filming the scene with his mobile phone. This brief moment turned out to be quite popular, spreading rapidly online.
Despite several online users finding the occurrence amusing, Von appeared not to join in on the laughter. In the wee hours of January 21st, he posted on Twitter, “It wasn’t an accident. Paul’s kids thought it was a joke to play with the chair. There are times and places for everything.
It wasn’t really an accident, Paul’s kids seemed to find it amusing to play a prank on the chair. You know, there’s a right time and place for everything like that, laugh emoji.

Logan Paul denies causing Theo Von’s chair accident
In a subsequent video he posted on the same day, Logan Paul refuted Von’s allegations.
As reported by Logan, it’s clear that Von intentionally seated himself in a broken chair, an incident which Logan and those around him assert they all observed.
Before the inauguration began, Theo Von deliberately settled in a worn-out, rundown chair that was clearly damaged, as he himself described. Not only did we draw his attention to it, but Danica Patrick, Kyle Forgeard from Nelk, and even my mother noticed it too. In other words, it was quite evident to everyone present.
Jake and I recorded the entire inauguration ceremony, and I edited a small segment of it for a laugh. Honestly, it was quite amusing, my friend! By the way, that’s how you can tell it wasn’t me. You tumbled over a chair, not a table. Take my word for it, if I wanted to cause harm with a metal chair, I would have done so decisively.
Innocent until proven guilty, this is America!! @TheoVon

Paul’s reaction to Von echoes his flamboyant professional wrestling character, hinting at a possible rivalry between them. With the internet personality turning his attention towards honing his skills in the wrestling arena, a series of confrontations may unfold over the upcoming years as he aims for further success and acclaim.
So far, Paul hasn’t received a response from Von, causing speculation among fans as to where this sudden conflict might lead. On the other hand, preparations are underway for a potential showdown between Logan and Conor McGregor, with a staggering $250M at stake.
