Logan Paul has publicly called out soccer legend Lionel Messi for a boxing match, aiming to resolve the disagreement between Prime Hydration and Messi’s brand (Mas+) inside the ring.
Since its launch in early 2022, the sports drink by Logan Paul and KSI, Prime Hydration, has quickly gained recognition and become a noteworthy choice among sports beverages.
Over time, it has been officially adopted as the beverage by organizations like the UFC, the Los Angeles Lakers, and even the Dodgers. New flavors are regularly introduced several times a year.
Yet, not much time had passed when another significant competitor entered the market as Messi introduced his hydrating electrolyte drink, Mas+, in June of 2024.
Immediately, spectators identified Mas+’s product packaging as a “copy,” pointing out its resemblance to Prime’s. This observation led to a legal disagreement between the two businesses.
No way Messi’s new drink looks exactly like Prime 😭

That October, Mas+ initiated a legal action against Prime Hydration, accusing them of “antitrust” activities. The lawsuit stated that representatives from Prime requested Mas+ to halt the sale of the product’s bottles until they modified the packaging.
In November, Prime filed a lawsuit against Mas+, arguing that the design and bottle shape of Mas+’s sports drink resemble Prime’s trademark too closely, thus constituting an infringement.
Currently, the legal dispute continues without resolution, yet there’s enthusiasm from Paul about settling matters through another influencer boxing contest.
Logan Paul wants to settle Mas+ lawsuit with Messi boxing match
On February 12, 2025, Paul playfully dared Messi to a boxing bout by making a funny video about it and sharing it on TikTok.
My brother, it’s clear you took our work!” the transformed WWE villain exclaimed. “The world has witnessed it. They’ve seen your actions. Everyone is aware of it. …and then we faced a lawsuit. Now, let me ask — what’s this about justice? This isn’t fair!
In response, we chose to file a lawsuit against them as well. When faced with superior competition, the only alternative is to become even better yourself. However, this action is not permitted. It’s a violation of trademark rights. We are taking legal action to hold him responsible, but claiming it’s harassment is unwarranted.
Listen, I’m not joking here. If there’s a rematch between Logan Paul and Messi in 2025 that leads to me dropping the current lawsuit, then count me in for the boxing match!”
Or, more casually:
“Alright, alright, but only if there’s another fight between Logan Paul and Messi in 2025 and it means I drop this lawsuit. Let’s get ready to rumble!
As I write this, Lionel Messi hasn’t given an official reply to Paul’s challenge – however, it’s not uncommon for prominent figures to engage in a boxing match with one of the Paul siblings, as they certainly have quite a few high-profile opponents.
In November 2024, Jake Paul battled boxing legend ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson, while in 2021, it was Logan who squared off against Floyd Mayweather.
It seems logical that a well-known football superstar could soon join their expanding list of celebrity fights, but whether Messi will fall for the offer is yet unknown.
