Level99, a gaming and entertainment company, is now hiring for its new location at Disney Springs. The company’s website shows they are currently accepting applications for leadership positions.
Leadership Roles Announced
Starting in October 2025, Level99 is looking to fill two leadership roles at its new Disney Springs location: a Director of Operations and a Venue Technician.
The Director of Operations will be responsible for the day-to-day running of all entertainment, bar, and food services at our venue. This includes leading a team of over 100 employees, managing the budget, and making sure guests have a great experience. We anticipate serving around 500,000 visitors annually in a 45,000-square-foot space.

The Venue Technician is responsible for keeping our attraction systems running smoothly. This involves regularly checking, fixing, and maintaining all parts of the facility. They’ll work closely with a Lead Technician to ensure everything is safe and reliable.
Venue and Project Background
As a huge fan of immersive experiences, I’m really excited about LEVEL99. They’re creating these massive, real-life game spaces – think dozens of themed rooms and competitive areas where you and your team tackle physical challenges, solve puzzles, and just generally have a blast. It’s not just about sitting and playing; it’s a full-body, timed adventure with a cool mix of digital tech and good old-fashioned physical gameplay, and they even have food and drinks! It’s all about getting everyone involved and working together, which is exactly the kind of entertainment I love.
In February 2025, Disney announced that Level99 would be moving into the building that previously housed NBA Experience and DisneyQuest at Disney Springs. Work on the project, including demolition and general construction, officially began in April 2025 with the filing of the necessary permits.
As a huge fan of immersive experiences, I’m really excited about this new place! It’s going to be massive – over 45,000 square feet spread across two floors. They’re building more than 60 different challenge rooms and duel arenas, which sounds incredible. The best part? It’s designed to handle up to 1,000 players at once, so you won’t have to worry about long waits or feeling crowded. It’s a dream come true for anyone who loves to play!

The venue will feature a two-story bar serving specialty cocktails and local beers. Guests can also enjoy Detroit-style pizza and a menu created by a professional chef.
Level99 has locations in Natick, Massachusetts, and Providence, Rhode Island, and is growing with new spots planned for Tysons Corner, Virginia, and West Hartford, Connecticut. Their upcoming location at Disney Springs will be their first in Florida and their biggest one yet.
Level99 was founded by Matthew DuPlessie, who started a precursor business resembling modern escape rooms back in 2004. The company is financially supported by Act III Holdings, a firm led by Ron Shaich, the cofounder of Panera Bread.
Timeline, Uncertainties, and Observations
An official opening date hasn’t been set yet. While some digital signs are up outside, you can still see a lot of construction happening inside. Because the venue is large and requires a lot of staff, it’s expected to take several months to finish.
The area that once housed NBA Experience and DisneyQuest is getting a new large-scale entertainment attraction, bringing that type of experience back to the location.

These new hires give us a look at how Level99 intends to run things, with specific leaders and a sizable team to help them. This project also shows Disney Springs is getting new energy and attractions after several years of inactivity.
