Jordan, and even playfully put a headlock on her friend Paul Thomas Anderson when his film, One Battle After Another, won Best Picture. She joked to Variety that she had warned him she’d do it if he won, even threatening a helmet! Taylor’s joyful reactions sparked some criticism online, but she defended her right to be happy. She explained on X that in a world filled with sadness, some people have forgotten what happiness looks like. They’re so used to being sore losers that genuine sportsmanship bothers them. She believes celebrating someone else’s success requires something many haven’t learned: how to win and lose with grace and joy.

She told TMZ she didn’t think anyone was intentionally trying to ruin her night, just that security was being overly zealous – you know, ‘there’s always that one guy.’ The Oscars security team actually addressed it with Entertainment Weekly, admitting there was a ‘brief interaction’ that led to some accidental contact. They apologized, saying it didn’t meet their professional standards and that they’ve already spoken to their team to prevent something similar from happening again.
