Warning! This article contains SPOILERS for Mayor of Kingstown season 4, episode 2.
Despite being a show filled with crime and unfairness, Mayor of Kingstown hasn’t featured many truly major villains – until now. With Lennie James joining the cast, a new mob boss has arrived and is already making waves in Kingstown. After four seasons, Taylor Sheridan’s gripping crime drama has introduced a powerful new adversary.
Lennie James first gained widespread recognition in 2012 for his role as DCI Tony Gates in Line of Duty. He later became even more well-known as Morgan Jones in The Walking Dead and its related shows. Now, he’s joined the cast of Kingstown as Frank Moses, and in just two episodes, Moses is already making a significant impact on the town.
Mayor Of Kingstown Has Featured Some Stunning Villains
Although Mayor of Kingstown doesn’t have a large number of main villains, the ones who’ve appeared have been remarkably compelling. Milo, brilliantly portrayed by Aidan Gillen, was a truly terrifying presence who intimidated everyone around him. Then, after Milo’s apparent demise, Konstantin arrived, offering a completely different kind of threat.
Despite having different approaches, both of these Russian mob bosses were incredibly cruel. Milo’s cruelty stemmed from his fixation on Mike, and he committed horrific acts to hurt him, most notably murdering Mike’s mother with a bomb.
The show began with Konstantin committing a shocking act: abandoning a baby after killing its mother. These men were clearly dangerous, and Mike McLusky and Iris were in serious jeopardy. But that threat might not be as bad as what’s on the horizon with Frank Moses.
Frank Moses Is An Old-School Mob Boss From Detroit
The fourth season of Mayor of Kingstown begins with Frank Moses dramatically appearing at a train track where a group of people are tied up. He quickly kills several Russians and disappears. In the second episode, Moses starts making connections, meeting both Bunny, the leader of the Crips, and Mike McLusky.
Before Mike even met Moses, everyone knew Moses had a strong reputation. Both Mike and his assistant, Rebecca, were already aware of his power and influence. It’s clear Moses is a seasoned crime boss who has built a highly efficient and organized operation.
Moses continues to be a powerful figure, and his encounter with Mike feels deeply unsettling, suggesting trouble is headed for Kingstown.
Frank Moses Is Taking Over Kingstown In A Completely New Way
Bunny is asking Moses for help to strengthen his criminal organization and is offering a share of the profits in return for complete control of crime in Kingstown. This deal suggests a major conflict is brewing, and it’s feared many innocent people could be caught in the violence.
Moses tried to convince Mayor Mike to use his influence and help him take control, but Mike didn’t want another violent criminal leader causing harm to innocent people. However, it seems a major, bloody conflict is coming in season 4 of Mayor of Kingstown.
