Lego’s Legend Of Zelda Deku Tree Model Gets Rare Discount

Fans of The Legend of Zelda can currently get a deal on the Lego Great Deku Tree building set at Woot! The 2,500-piece model is on sale for $265, down from its original price of $300. Woot’s Lego sales don’t last long, particularly for more expensive sets that usually sell for full price elsewhere. This is the second time they’ve offered a discount on the Great Deku Tree, and the first sale sold out very quickly, in just a few hours.

Fans of The Legend of Zelda can now build their own Deku Tree with this incredible Lego set, modeled after the iconic tree from Breath of the Wild and Ocarina of Time. It was first available in September 2024 at the Lego Store and became widely available at other retailers in January 2025. This is the first official Zelda Lego set, and Lego has hinted at another set coming in 2026.

The Great Deku Tree is a Lego set designed for experienced builders, as it comes in a black box and has a complex build. It’s part of Lego’s series of display models, and having built all the Nintendo-themed sets, I’d say it has a bit more intricate detail than similar-sized sets like the Lego NES and Mighty Bowser.

As a longtime Zelda enthusiast, I really enjoyed putting both versions together, and the final result is a fantastic collectible piece to show off.

If this is your first time building a 2-in-1 Lego set, keep in mind you’ll build one model or the other, not both at the same time. The beginning of the build is the same for either option. Around the halfway point, you’ll choose whether to build the Breath of the Wild or Ocarina of Time version of the Great Deku Tree. As you can see in the picture, the Breath of the Wild model is the bigger of the two.

I started by building the Ocarina of Time model. Then, I took it apart a bit and rebuilt it as the Breath of the Wild version. Because the design is so good, switching between the two styles wasn’t too difficult – just be sure to store all the pieces carefully if you think you might want to change it back later.

Currently, there are just eight Lego sets designed for adult Nintendo fans. Besides the impressive Great Deku Tree set, the others all feature Super Mario characters or classic Nintendo consoles. The newest addition is a Lego Game Boy, released with 421 pieces for $60. It even comes with buildable versions of two classic Game Paks: Super Mario Land and The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening.

Amazon currently has two Nintendo Lego sets on sale for adults. You can get the 540-piece Lego Super Mario Piranha Plant for $36, down from $60. This deal was expected to end Sunday, but it’s still available. There’s also a sale on the Lego Super Mario World: Mario & Yoshi pixel art display model, which has 1,215 pieces and costs $105 (originally $130). It was released in October 2024, shortly after The Great Deku Tree set.
