Whether you collect books or LEGOs, you quickly run into the same problem: not enough shelf space! As someone who loves both, I often consider where something new will go as much as how much it costs. So, I’m thrilled to see LEGO releasing book nook sets, even though it might make my storage situation even tighter. I’m already hoping they’ll create sets inspired by more of my favorite stories and films – it’s a fantastic idea!
Like other book nook sets available, these LEGO designs are meant to fit snugly between books on a shelf. If you’re unfamiliar, LEGO already sells several book nook sets.
I’m a big fan of Harry Potter, trains, and cozy book nooks, and this set combines all three! I’m currently saving for the Diagon Alley set, which is similar because it folds up, but otherwise I’d definitely be buying this Hogwarts Express set. It depicts the train engine and a car, and what’s really neat is that it can be displayed in two ways: closed as a book nook showing Platform 9 3/4, or opened and used as a pair of bookends.

This charming Sherlock Holmes book nook is a Barnes & Noble exclusive. When I first saw it, I instantly wanted it – it’s so cute! It makes me wish I was a bigger Sherlock Holmes fan so I’d have a good reason to buy it and display it. I definitely need to read the books sometime soon. For now, I can appreciate how adorable it is – it brings a little piece of Victorian London to life with tiny figures of Sherlock, Watson, and Moriarty. You can open it up like a building to see inside, or fold it closed like a book while still getting a glimpse of the London street scene.

If you love J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings books or the movies, you’ll really like this LEGO book nook set. It depicts the dramatic confrontation between Gandalf and the Balrog. When opened, the Balrog’s wings spread out, but they still fit inside (though it’s a tight squeeze) when the set is closed. Either way, it’s a fantastic recreation of that famous scene. And if you have room on your shelves, the beautiful Rivendell LEGO set is another great option.

Other LEGO Book Nook Sets I’d Love To See
I’m really excited to see LEGO creating these sets, and it makes me want even more based on books I love. If they were to make classic literature sets, a Pride and Prejudice book nook would be incredible! To Kill A Mockingbird would also be great, or even a Frankenstein set inspired by both Mary Shelley’s novel and Guillermo del Toro’s recent movie.
Moving on to books being made into movies and shows, Project Hail Mary is scheduled to come to theaters in 2026. It’s a relatively new book, but already ranks as one of my all-time favorite science fiction stories. I’d buy a LEGO book nook based on it without hesitation. And imagine a LEGO book nook dedicated to Stephen King – perhaps centered around a single book or the Dark Tower series, or even a collection of iconic scenes and characters from his most famous works.
If I’m dreaming big for my LEGO book nook, I’d love to see books and series that haven’t been made into movies or shows yet, like A Court of Thorns and Roses and the Red Rising books. Fourth Wing is also on my list, and it’s rumored that Amazon Prime might adapt it soon.
Considering LEGO has so far only released sets based on hugely popular books that have been adapted many times, I know it’s unlikely they’ll make sets from my personal favorite books. Still, it’s fun to imagine!
