Everyone remembers the classic 1971 movie *Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory*, and now you can build your own version with a new Lego set! The Lego Ideas kit lets you recreate iconic scenes from the film, including the chocolate river and gumdrop trees. With 2,025 pieces, the set costs $220 and will be available on September 18th exclusively at Lego’s online store. But if you’re a Lego Insiders member (it’s free to join!), you can pre-order it today. This set is expected to be very popular, so signing up for Lego Insiders is a great way to get yours before it sells out.
This completed model is quite large, measuring over 20 inches wide and 10 inches deep, so be sure you have enough room to display it. Although it’s designed for adults, kids will also enjoy playing with the finished build, especially with all the included minifigures, which let them create their own stories.
If you’re not already a Lego Insider, it’s Lego’s free rewards program where you earn points with every purchase. You can then redeem those points for discounts and exclusive offers. As a member, you also get perks throughout the year, like free or discounted bonus sets when you shop online.
