This week, eight new Lego Harry Potter sets became available at stores like Amazon, the Lego Store, and Best Buy. Fans of the series will be especially excited about the sets created to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first Harry Potter movie, ‘Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.’ Lego designed five different models and playsets inspired by the 2001 film to commemorate the milestone.
The highlight of the new Lego Harry Potter collection is the 25th Anniversary Sorcerer’s Stone Collector’s Edition. This impressive 1,571-piece set is designed for display and includes famous characters, objects, and moments from the movie. While it’s currently backordered directly from Lego, you can find it available at Amazon and Best Buy. Best Buy Plus/Total members can even get it for $153 – a 10% discount off the $170 price.
The new Sorcerer’s Stone Collector’s Edition is similar to Lego’s Hogwarts Icons set, released in 2021 for their 20th anniversary. Both sets include a Hedwig figure and many items from the first Harry Potter movie. The Hogwarts Icons set is no longer made and now sells for much more than its original $300 price, so it’s something to consider when looking at the new model.
