Leanne Morgan, Chuck Lorre Netflix Comedy Series Adds Five to Cast

As an admirer of storytelling that resonates with real-life experiences, I am thrilled to see Leanne Morgan‘s upcoming Netflix series taking shape. The cast assembled for this multi-cam comedy is nothing short of impressive, boasting veterans like Ryan Stiles and Celia Weston, and promising newcomers such as Graham Rogers and Hannah Pilkes.

It’s been learned by EbMaster that Leanne Morgan’s forthcoming multi-camera comedy series on Netflix has welcomed five new main cast members to its lineup for the upcoming series.

Ryan Stiles, Blake Clark, Graham Rogers, Hannah Pilkes, and Celia Weston have been added to the show’s cast, which already includes Morgan and previously confirmed actor Kristen Johnston.

The show, renamed “Leanne,” received a greenlight for production on Netflix back in April. Alongside Chuck Lorre and Susan McMartin, Morgan played a role in its creation. The anticipated premiere is scheduled for 2025.

Leanne’s world is suddenly changed as her husband of 33 years leaves her for another woman. Not quite what she planned when she was a grandmother going through menopause, yet with the support of her loved ones, she’ll face this fresh phase of life with elegance, respect, and perhaps a jello salad or two.

I find myself taking on the role of Tyler, Leanne’s cherished child whom she holds dearly. As a novice father, I’m subdued by my wife’s overbearing nature. The burden of starting a family and dealing with the unforeseen dissolution of my parents’ union adds layers of complexity to my life, making each step forward a careful navigation through challenging circumstances.

josie, leanne’s daughter, will be portrayed by pilkes. She is reportedly the polar opposite of tyler – a free spirit who loves to party, break rules, and seek out fun. Jobless and relationship-prone, josie has long been aware that her brother is considered the golden child, so she embraced her role as the black sheep and never fails to live up to it.

In a new role, Stiles portrays Bill, who was married to Leanne for 33 years. Over this period, Bill established an RV business as a means to offer a comfortable lifestyle for his loved ones. A devoted spouse, father, grandfather, and son-in-law, Bill prioritized family above all else… until recently. After impulsively ending his relationship with Leanne for another woman, Bill finds himself in uncharted waters for the first time, unsure of his next steps.

Weston is assigned as the character of Mama Margaret, who serves as the mother of Leanne, Carol (Johnston), and their family matriarch. Known as a devoted churchgoer and community member, Mama is always ready with a comforting word and an optimistic outlook on life. She’s mentally prepared for her own demise but may just outlive everyone else in the end.

Clark portrays the character of Daddy John, who is the father of Leanne and Carol. He has a somewhat traditional view on gender roles. He’s robust in his opinions, vocal, and extremely devoted to his family. He’d go to great lengths for them.

Morgan, McMartin, Lorre, Judi Marmel, and Nick Bakay are all involved as executive producers on the project. Chuck Lorre Productions collaborates on this project alongside Warner Bros. Television, where Lorre has a broader agreement.
