As a film enthusiast with a keen eye for talent and a heart for representation, I can’t help but admire Laverne Cox’s journey in Hollywood. Her three-year tenure as host of E!’s “Live From the Red Carpet” was not only captivating but also groundbreaking, providing a platform for diverse voices and stories that resonate deeply with audiences worldwide.

Her decision to step down from her role is bittersweet, as she moves on to new opportunities in acting, hosting, and speaking. I’m excited to witness the incredible heights she will undoubtedly reach, much like the stars she has interviewed over the years.

Laverne, your work on the red carpet has been a reminder of the power of storytelling and the importance of representation in media. I can’t wait to see where your evolving journey takes you next – maybe even hosting the Oscars someday! Just remember, if you ever need a co-host for that big gig, I’m here, ready to bring the laughs with my questionable celebrity impressions (but don’t hold me to it).

Actress Laverne Cox has decided not to continue as the host of “E!’s Live From the Red Carpet” before the 2025 Golden Globe Awards.

Cox expressed heartfelt thanks and announced that he will not be resuming his role as host for #LiveFromE’s red carpet events. He is incredibly proud of the three years of work he put into these shows,” Cox wrote on Instagram, along with a collection of videos from various award ceremonies featuring the “Orange Is the New Black” alum interviewing stars like Tracee Ellis Ross, Andrew Garfield, Steve Martin and Martin Short, Cynthia Erivo, and Dua Lipa.

Cox expressed gratitude towards E!, its owner NBCUniversal, and Den of Thieves, the production company for her “If We’re Behind Honest” series, for the exceptional backing they provided.

These instances prompt me with a sense of profound gratitude for having discussions with some exceptional artists worldwide about their creations, handling the challenges that come with success, and so forth, Cox penned. I’m thrilled about the prospect of expanding, transforming, and delving into more opportunities as an actress, artist, moderator, and orator. I hope you’ll accompany me on this ongoing journey of growth and discovery.

In January 2022, Cox, who has acted in movies like “Promising Young Woman,” “Uglies,” and “Musical Chairs,” stepped into the role of host for E!’s “Live From the Red Carpet,” replacing Giuliana Rancic. For this year’s Golden Globes ceremony on Sunday, E! will have Zuri Hall from “Access Hollywood” and comedian Heather McMahan taking over as hosts instead.

I’m excited to share that you’ll find me in the hilarious Amazon Prime Video comedy series “Clean Slate,” starting February 6, alongside the talented George Wallace. Can’t wait for you all to see it!
