The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) is now using Tesla Cybertrucks for regular patrols, making it the first police force in the U.S. to use these electric vehicles in this way.
On October 28th, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) showed off its new stainless-steel vehicles. Sheriff Kevin McMahill announced that 10 Cybertrucks had been donated to the department, marking the beginning of his vision to make LVMPD the most technologically advanced police force in the nation.

The sheriff said the trucks were modified by Upfit Tesla and Unplugged Performance to meet police requirements. These changes include stronger bumpers, lights on the roof, and built-in camera systems.
A fleet straight out of a video game
After the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department shared a video online, the new Cybertruck patrol vehicles quickly became a popular topic on social media. The department highlighted that this fleet is the first of its kind, offering improved safety and smart technology, and producing zero emissions.

The Las Vegas Metro Police Department (LVMPD) is adding new electric trucks to its fleet. These trucks will be used by officers across the city, including the SWAT team. Over 400 officers have already been trained to drive them, and the department expects the trucks to save money on fuel and maintenance in the long run.
