Krispy Kreme breach settlement could hand eligible customers $3,500

People who bought donuts from Krispy Kreme and had their personal information exposed in a data breach earlier in 2024 might be able to receive money as part of a settlement. Payments could be as high as $3,500.

The doughnut company will pay $1.6 million to settle lawsuits related to a data breach in November 2024. The breach reportedly revealed private information belonging to its customers.

The data breach may have exposed personal information like names, birth dates, Social Security numbers, and bank account details. If you received a notice saying your information was affected, you might be eligible for money from a settlement.

If you can prove you experienced fraud, identity theft, or other financial losses due to the data breach, you could receive up to $3,500. Even without proof, customers can still claim a payment of up to $75.

Krispy Kreme settlement deadline is approaching

Krispy Kreme announced that the settlement covers people currently living in the United States who were informed their personal information might have been involved in a data incident.

Please submit claim forms either online or by mail by June 22, 2026. Claims received after this date might not be processed.

Krispy Kreme has denied wrongdoing as part of the agreement.

The recent settlement with Krispy Kreme follows a similar agreement Apple reached just months earlier. Apple’s settlement involved a lawsuit claiming they advertised iPhone features powered by their Siri assistant that weren’t actually available when the phones first came out.
