KPop Demon Hunters Is Doing Their First Live Performance, And It’s Soon

It’s clear how much of an impact KPop Demon Hunters has made on popular culture ever since it premiered on Netflix in June 2025. The animated series quickly became the streaming service’s most-watched film ever, and its soundtrack – featuring songs like “Golden” – is considered the biggest of the decade. If you’ve been hoping to see the members of HUNTR/X perform live, that wish is about to come true.

KPop Demon Hunters focuses on the girl group HUNTR/X. Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami lend their voices to the characters Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, respectively. The group is scheduled to perform on television for the first time next Tuesday, October 7, 2025, on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

This is really surprising news, since I didn’t think I’d ever get to see the animated K-pop group perform in person – it seemed about as likely as someone showing up to a red carpet event in pajamas. (And it looks like I was right.)

According to Deadline, HUNTR/X is scheduled to perform their song “Golden.” They’ll also be chatting with host Jimmy Fallon during an interview. Check out Fallon’s announcement below:

KPop Demon Hunters has been incredibly popular recently, and many believe it could be the best movie of the summer. People are loving the music, including songs like “Soda Pop” by the demon boy band Saja Boys, and a collaboration with HUNTR/X. Beyond the catchy tunes, the film’s theme of accepting your flaws and inner struggles has deeply resonated with audiences.

Even someone like me – I didn’t know anything about (or care for) animated fantasy movies and only watched it to entertain my children – has become a fan. I even helped KPop Demon Hunters Sing-Along Event become the number one movie at the box office during its opening weekend, because we didn’t want to miss what could be the most amazing movie experience of the year.

Considering the Netflix film is now being talked about as a possible contender for the Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song Oscars, it’s amazing to think it initially didn’t include any music at all. I really don’t want to think about that ever happening! I’d rather focus on the possibility of a sequel – but only after seeing HUNTR/X perform on Fallon, naturally.

Next week will be a significant one for Jimmy Fallon, the host of NBC’s late-night show. The day before the KPop Demon Hunters group perform live for the first time, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon will feature Taylor Swift on Monday, October 6. She’ll be there to promote her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, which is being released on Friday, October 3.

I’m really thrilled to watch HUNTR/X perform on TV for the very first time, and I’ll probably reactivate my Netflix account to enjoy all their upbeat songs again beforehand. The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon broadcasts at 11:35 p.m. Eastern Time on weekdays, airing on NBC.
