Police in Incheon Yeonsu are investigating an attack on a YouTuber in his 30s. Two men, aged between 20 and 30, are suspected of assaulting him in an underground parking garage on October 26th due to an outstanding debt. Authorities say the men then drove the victim to Geumsan County in South Chungcheong Province.
He last posted a video in early October, featuring gameplay of Little Nightmares 3. The creator doesn’t show their face in the videos.
Police request arrest warrants on attempted murder charges
Police were contacted by the victim before the incident because he was worried about his safety. Officers then used vehicle tracking and security camera footage to find and arrest the suspects around 2:30 a.m. on October 27th. The victim suffered facial injuries, but they were not considered life-threatening, according to police reports.
Initial news reports identified the victim as a well-known game creator with a large following – over a million subscribers – and this sparked rumors about Sutak’s possible connection. Sandbox subsequently verified these details.
The agency is focusing on the creator’s well-being and will assist with any legal actions stemming from the incident. Police are seeking arrest warrants for the suspects, accusing them of attempted murder, and the investigation is still ongoing.
