Konami announced a new RPG called Rev. NOiR during the February 2026 Sony State of Play presentation. The game’s website also features the logo of ILCA, suggesting they are helping to develop it. ILCA is known for its work on several other RPGs, including Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age, One Piece Odyssey, and Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
Nobuki Kadoi, who used to work at Square Enix, is now producing Rev. NOiR. He left Square Enix in late 2019 after working on Gunslinger Stratos. More recently, he provided production support for the Suikoden I & II HD Remaster.
Rev. NOiR takes place in a world where deadly drops of light, called lightfall, destroy everything they touch. The story is experienced through the perspective of a boy who’s been affected by this phenomenon. Near death and struggling with fragmented memories, he wakes up with amnesia, saved by a mysterious girl. Together, they embark on a quest to stop the lightfall.
You can watch the reveal trailer and see the first screenshots for Rev. NOiR below. Currently, the game is only confirmed for PlayStation 5, and a release date hasn’t been announced yet.
