A rumor claiming Henry Cavill might appear in the A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms series has been proven false by the show’s actor, Peter Claffey. This means Cavill likely won’t be joining the Game of Thrones franchise.
Compared to both Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms offers a welcome change of pace. It’s a more realistic and tightly focused story.
The series is inspired by the first book in George R.R. Martin’s ‘Dunk and Egg’ collection, and there are hopes to create a TV show based on several of the stories.
Dexter Sol Ansell, who plays an egg in the show, has let slip details about future storylines. He also revealed a potentially major plot point in a recent interview, but his co-star, Peter Claffey (who plays Dunk), quickly dismissed it.
Henry Cavill will not be appearing in the Game of Thrones universe

The mistake occurred during an interview at New York Comic-Con. While talking about the character Ser Duncan and comparing him to Geralt of Rivia – describing him as a less attractive, less self-assured, and less charming version – someone off-camera told Claffey not to reveal any plot details.
Okay, so this is kind of funny. Ansell started to ask if someone could say something about Henry Cavill, but Claffey immediately shut it down with a firm ‘no, no, no!’ It was a quick little moment, but it definitely made me wonder what Ansell was going to ask about him!
After the video appeared on social media, many fans assumed Henry Cavill was joining the cast of Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. However, according to Claffey, that’s not the case.
He clarified on Instagram that Dex’s comment during the interview wasn’t about Henry Cavill joining the Game of Thrones universe – something he wished was true.

He clarified it was all a big misunderstanding, adding a laughing emoji. He then ended the message by wishing everyone well with the upcoming ‘Trial of Seven’.
It’s possible Liam Claffey is protecting his fellow actor, but currently, the official statement is that Henry Cavill will not be appearing with Dunk and Egg.
Okay, so if you’re like me and still craving more from the Game of Thrones universe, here’s the scoop! I’ve been checking out what’s coming up – there’s a Jon Snow spinoff in the works, and I’ve got all the latest on Season 3 of House of the Dragon. Plus, I found out how to watch A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, and there’s even a helpful guide to the Seven Kingdoms themselves if you want to brush up on the lore!
