The sales momentum for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 continues unabated, having already reached the 2-million copy mark within just under two weeks.
According to a tweet posted by the developers at Warhorse Studios, the release of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has been celebrated as a resounding victory, much like they did when the original game managed to sell 1 million copies within a day of its launch.
The sequel to Warhorse Studios’ engaging medieval Europe action RPG, released on multiple platforms including PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on February 4, has garnered an extraordinary response.
Hey there! Just wanted to share some awesome news about my favorite game, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Last week, I found out that it’s been breaking records on Steam, with over 250,000 gamers playing at the same time! To put things into perspective, the original game only reached a peak of 96,069 players seven years ago. As a fan, this just goes to show how far the series has come and how much it’s resonating with gamers like us!
It’s important to mention that since Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is launching on both consoles and PCs, it’s likely that its maximum number of simultaneous players will be greater. Unfortunately, neither Sony nor Microsoft reveal their player counts publicly.
In a statement, the company that controls Warhorse Studios through its affiliate, Plaion, reported that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has had an initial success, not just in regards to feedback from players and critics, but also in terms of how it’s been performing.
This showcases the commitment and effort poured into our game development team, Warhorse Studios, and our publishing partner, Deep Silver, according to Embracer CEO Lars Wingefors.
As a dedicated gamer, I’ve got a feeling that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is going to rake in some serious dough in the upcoming years. The reason? It’s all about the game’s exceptional quality, immersion, and charm. Warhorse Studios has got some exciting plans up their sleeves – updates and fresh content over the next year – so we can expect a dynamic, ever-evolving gaming experience for us gamers.
Wingefors expressed great pride for the teams behind the successful launch of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, a release that has surpassed our initial predictions in terms of performance.
In the roadmap for Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, there are three planned expansions set to release in 2025. Beginning in the spring, players can anticipate free updates that incorporate various enhancements like a Barbers feature for customization, a challenging Hardcore Mode, and an exciting new activity: Horse Racing. The summer months will bring the first paid content, titled “Brushes with Death,” which promises to continue Henry’s adventure as he assists a mysterious artist with a questionable past.
In autumn, players can expect the arrival of the “Legacy of the Forge” expansion, offering a glimpse into Henry’s past through an examination of his adoptive father Martin’s history. Concluding the year, “Mysteria Ecclesia” will be unveiled in winter, where players will join Henry on a clandestine journey to understand the intricate workings of the Sedlec Monastery.
