After a 12-year run, “Kill Tony” has ceased releasing fresh episodes on YouTube, instead moving to Netflix.
Kill Tony has risen to become one of the leading comedy podcasts globally, providing an opportunity for up-and-coming comics to display their talent in short, one-minute performances. Following these brief sets, they engage in candid interviews (often including good-natured teasing) with well-known comedians who serve as guests.
12 long years ago, I eagerly tuned into Tony Hinchcliffe’s hilarious comedy podcast, ‘Kill Tony’. But on April 7th, after more than 700 episodes, the laugh-riot was missing from my YouTube feed.
Instead, the show, recorded at The Comedy Mothership in Austin, Texas, premiered on Netflix under the title ‘Kill or Be Killed,’ as a stand-up comedy special.

Kill Tony’s Netflix debut ends YouTube streak
Tony’s initial appearance on Netflix marks a portion of an agreement that grants access to three unique episodes exclusively on the streaming service. Speculations about this deal had been circulating for some time, and it wasn’t until March that the news was officially confirmed.
During the time when the episode was broadcasted on Netflix, Kill Tony shared a reminder on YouTube regarding its relocation.
As a devoted fan, I’m excited to share some exciting news! For the first time in 12 years, this coming Monday won’t see the usual YouTube release of Kill Tony. But don’t let that worry you, because there’s a fresh episode waiting for you instead – one of the best episodes yet! And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, prepare to witness this masterpiece… on Netflix!
This episode was jam-packed with renowned comedians such as Joe Rogan and Tom Segura gracing us with their presence. Moreover, Shane Gillis delivered his well-known Trump portrayal, while Kyle Dunnigan gave a spot-on impression of Elon Musk.
It’s only natural that Gillis broke out his Trump impression during the show, as the comedian’s rendition in Kill Tony 672 was the most-viewed episode yet on YouTube with a staggering 24 million views.
According to Hinchcliffe, the segment broke the YouTube record for viewer retention. As he put it, “People who watched it either resumed from where they left off the previous day or watched the entire video all the way through.
In the agreement, a one-hour stand-up performance by Hinchcliffe will additionally debut on Netflix.
