Kick streamer Gymskin responds as his viral “follow that tune” trend puts Madonna back in the charts

Popular Twitch streamer Gymskin is getting credit for a surprising comeback: Madonna’s song ‘Into The Groove’ has re-entered the music charts thanks to a viral clip of him playing it on stream.

Streamer Gymskin has recently gained a lot of attention online thanks to various clips from his broadcasts. One clip, in particular, has become hugely popular: Gymskin, who has over 2 million TikTok followers, playfully tells his friends to “follow that tune” when he hears Madonna’s “Into The Groove” playing.

In the video, the streamer goes all the way to a club while the song is playing. They stood outside and danced to it as it was broadcast from inside.

The song has become popular again, partly because he often plays it on his stream. It’s even climbed as high as 17th place on the UK music charts.

Gymskin addresses Into The Groove’s booming popularity

This prompted Gymskin’s audience to ask him what he thought about the song becoming popular again.

He praised her, saying, “I think it’s wonderful for her. She’s a truly great artist. She’s iconic, and I love her music and songs.”

Basically, when I showed support and let her know I like her music – even adding it to my playlist – it helped her songs climb the charts again, which is a win for her.

Who else has used the follow that tune trend?

The song “Into The Groove” has recently become popular again thanks to its frequent use in Gymskin’s live streams, and it’s now being widely shared and enjoyed.

Premier League football clubs have been using it on TikTok and Instagram, and even KSI started participating after becoming part of the ownership team for Dagenham and Redbridge.

The video of Gymskin saying “follow that tune” has become popular for memes, with people often replacing the original sound with different audio.

As a gamer, I’ve noticed sound design everywhere! People who study birds use their unique calls, companies use those little jingles from their products, and musicians blend different styles of music all the time. It’s cool how sound gets used in so many creative ways.

Beyond radio play, “Into The Groove” is also gaining popularity on Spotify, appearing on several trending playlists. It’s really becoming widespread.
