DeenTheGreat, a boxer known for his online streaming and social media presence, was arrested in Miami-Dade County. He’s been charged with attempted robbery after a disagreement at a yacht party reportedly involved a woman’s phone.
Nurideen Shabazz, better known as DeenTheGreat, is a popular online creator who streams live on Kick and YouTube. He’s gained a following for his real-life streams, public disagreements with others online, and participation in influencer boxing matches. He currently has over 580,000 subscribers on YouTube and more than 115,000 followers on Kick.
TMZ obtained jail records showing that Shabazz was arrested Wednesday morning at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami. He’s been charged with attempted robbery and his bail hasn’t been set yet.

Police say yacht dispute escalated over phone
I was shocked to read the police report! Apparently, Destiny Aleman told officers that Jake Paul – or ‘Deen,’ as he goes by online – tried to grab her phone after asking her to leave his yacht. It happened right in the middle of his 24-hour livestream with Adrien Broner, which is just wild to think about!
About 8 hours and 5 minutes into the livestream, Broner was talking with Aleman on a couch when Aleman said, “I’m going to get in trouble for this conversation,” and then gestured towards Deen, who wasn’t visible on camera.
Shortly after, Deen entered and aggressively told Aleman to leave his yacht, using offensive language and physically trying to pull her off the couch. Broner later stated he was simply testing her reaction, but Deen countered that Aleman’s presence was damaging to his image and business.
The arrest wasn’t broadcast online. Deen left the area about an hour after the fight began, and Broner ended his online stream shortly after that.
According to reports, Aleman told police that Deen became angry when other men attempted to talk to her, even though he’d supposedly told her not to interact with anyone else on the trip. After they left the yacht, Aleman started recording him with her phone, and Shabazz allegedly grabbed her arm and tried to take the phone, resulting in a small scratch.
DeenTheGreat kicking Destiny Aleman off of the yacht mid-streamThe yacht owner willingly shared Ring camera footage with police. According to police, the video appears to show Shabazz demanding someone take Aleman’s phone to stop her from recording. He then allegedly grabbed at her repeatedly while she tried to move away with the phone.
According to police, the video showed Aleman shielding the phone by curling up on the ground, before managing to get away.
This arrest follows a series of controversial incidents involving the streamer. Earlier in April, another creator, Omer Majid, said on a fundraising page that “deenthegreat” attacked him, resulting in a broken nose, fractured face, chipped tooth, and the need for stitches.
Deen gained attention in February through livestreams featuring Larry Wheels and ex-UFC fighter Tiki Ghosn, which quickly spread online.
