Kick Streamer BOXES Cop?! You Won’t Believe What Happened Next!

During a traffic stop, live-streamer ‘Shoovy’ found himself in a tense argument with a law enforcement officer, however, it turned out that Shoovy’s online chat community sided with the police officer in the incident.

On the 4th of February, 2025, as 18-year-old streamer Shoovy strolled along the pavement in Kensington, Philadelphia, he paused his walk to livestream a traffic incident unfolding right before his eyes on the road.

The officers asked the broadcaster to step back, explaining that his actions were disrupting their work. Nevertheless, Shoovy firmly maintained his innocence and engaged in a heated exchange of words with an officer.

Shoovy sneered, ‘You’re more like an officer with a temper, aren’t you? It’s hard to believe he’s acting this way about such an effortless lawsuit. … I have every right to speak here, it’s freedom of speech and public property.

Following a ten-minute dialogue with the officer, Shoovy told him that he was broadcasting their conversation live on Kick, suggesting he take a look at the chat comments from his viewers for their thoughts.

Instead of chuckling dismissively, the officer ignored the line of derogatory remarks hurled at him from the comments section. He then returned to the traffic stop, carrying on with the discussion.

Shoovy proposed, “Fancy a legitimate boxing match? I’m willing to compensate you for it… we could even wager on the outcome. Let’s organize it. I’ll put $10K on the line. We can draft a contract. I’m eager to duke it out in a legal setting, inside the ring.

However, the cop wasn’t interested, arguing that “whatever you would pay me wouldn’t be worth it.”

Shoovy said with conviction, “This feels like the beginning of a great friendship,” he aimed to win over the officer. “Why don’t we arrange a ride-along? …I’m only here to observe and record. I promise I won’t cause any trouble, I’ll be more like a helping hand – if you will, a partner in your line of work.

Kick streamer sparks unlikely friendship with police officer

After reviewing Shoovy’s chat, the officer appeared unconvinced by his remarks about him. He then shared with the streamer, “I’ve gone through the comments, and it seems many people hold a negative opinion about me.

Shoovy mentioned, ‘If we go on a ride-along with them, they’d likely take a liking to you because they’ll admire your willingness to help me create engaging content, like apprehending criminals.’

Indeed, Shoovy’s audience started filling the chat with appreciative remarks towards the officer, using phrases such as “We cop” and “Thank you for your service.” The streamer encouraged him to take a look at the chat to witness it firsthand.

He wondered aloud, “Could someone here clarify what ‘W cop’ stands for?”, all the while amused by the uplifting and amusing remarks as he scrolled through the chat.

In the end, the officer concluded their conversation by advising Shoovy to take care and keep alert, mentioning that people living nearby might find it displeasing if they were recorded without first obtaining their permission.

Overhearing the buzz about that moment online, I couldn’t help but chime in on X: “Admit it, he wasn’t all that terrible.
