Kick streamer arrested for allegedly abusing dog following animal cruelty investigation

Streamer Lionel ‘lildealy’ Howse was apprehended in Canada for reportedly mistreating his dog during a live broadcast. This action followed a series of public outcry and an investigation into animal cruelty that gained significant attention online over several weeks.

On September 10, Canadian authorities apprehended Howse upon his return from the U.S., accusing him of making threats against animals and intentionally inflicting unnecessary distress or harm on them.

In August, upsetting videos emerged featuring the Kick streamer who made a chilling threat against his dog, Peaches. He stated that he would break her neck.

In one video, it’s said that a woman can be heard urgently asking him to stop hurting the animal, with distressing sounds of the animal crying audible in the background.

Kick streamer arrested after viewers report alleged animal abuse

On August 16, the initial law enforcement intervention occurred following reports of an animal-related issue. On the same day, journalist and self-proclaimed “advocate for animals,” Paul Mueller, shared a collection of the reported abuses online, encouraging the public to pressure authorities to take action.

Advocacy groups for animals, such as Fur Warriors, monitored Howse’s activities leading up to a live-streamed event in Texas, and subsequently reached out to the Austin police department about the event’s broadcast.

As reported by Fur Warriors, the Austin Police visited Lionel’s hotel following concerns raised through multiple calls, yet they departed without taking Peaches away from him.

Only after his arrival back in Canada did the authorities take action, with border officials apprehending him then. Authorities confirmed this, stating that Howse was taken into custody upon returning to Canada. Police added that if a dog had been present, it would likely have been handed over to animal services, but its current status remains undisclosed.

House was recently live on Kick on September 9, accompanied by a dog during travel. In spite of the allegations against him, his channel remains active as I’m writing this, with Kick yet to impose a ban.
