On a chilly December evening in 2024, I found myself saying goodbye to Keller Fornes, the beloved star of County Rescue on the Great American Family Channel. His life ended in Eastland, Texas, as confirmed by an obituary from Lacy Funeral Home. He was only 32 years old. This loss leaves a deep void in the hearts of many cinema devotees like myself who cherished his performances and charisma on screen.

Great American Media confirmed his death in a statement posted on Instagram on Monday.

At Great American Media, we’re profoundly grieving over the demise of Keller Fornes. He was an exceptional individual and a multitalented artist, excelling as an actor, writer, director, singer, and musician,” the message stated. “His infectious spirit and zest inspired everyone he collaborated with at Great American Media and the cast and crew of County Rescue. Our thoughts are with his loved ones and everyone whose lives he enriched.

Prior to relocating to Atlanta for a film career, Fornes graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from the University of North Texas. Apart from acting, he also excelled in amateur boxing, winning a gold medal in the Georgia division of Golden Gloves. Moreover, he wrote and produced his own independent films with private funding.

Keller Scott Fornes played the role of Griffin in “County Rescue,” a series on Great American Family, which was planning to start filming Season 2 later this month. Following Fornes’ passing, cast members like Julia Reilly (who played the lead in “County Rescue”) and others expressed their tribute. Kristin Wollett, another star of the show, shared a video of photos with Fornes on Instagram with the caption, “Forever in our hearts. ❤️ Keller Scott Fornes ❤️
