Okay, so this college student totally shot his shot at Keke Palmer with a TikTok video, and it actually WORKED! She responded, which is wild. The whole thing is blowing up online.
Cole Smith shared a video clip after seeing Palmer interviewed on Hot Ones, where the host, Sean Evans, revealed he had a crush on her. Smith initially believed Palmer was married, but when he found out she wasn’t, he decided to try and connect with her online.
In a lighthearted video, Smith jokingly expressed his interest in Palmer, playfully teasing her about his appearance, offering her a snack, and saying that their age difference (he’s 11 years younger) wasn’t a concern. The video has become very popular, racking up over 13 million views and 12,000 comments.
People on TikTok responded with lots of positive comments. One user wrote, “Haters are going to hate,” and another thanked him for being respectful.
Palmer responds on TikTok
I couldn’t believe it when Palmer actually saw my video! She even did a ‘stitch’ with it on her own account, which was so cool. She asked me how I was doing and said my move was pretty bold, but jokingly said she wasn’t quite ready to be a ‘cougar’ just yet. But get this – she said *if* she ever was, I’d be the first person she’d call! Seriously, I was blown away.
Smith initially doubted her reply was genuine. He explained to People, “I panicked!” He praised Palmer, saying, “The fact that she responded is amazing. Everyone should go see her new film.”
