What often makes theme park rides so appealing is their ability to let guests step inside their favorite films, creating an experience that’s much more engaging than simply watching a movie. It’s natural to wonder how it feels for someone who actually starred in the film to experience that ride. We recently found out, thanks to Ke Huy Quan’s visit to Disneyland with his Zootopia 2 co-star, Ginnifer Goodwin.
Quan and Goodwin previously appeared in a Disney Parks Instagram video revealing that the Zootopia character Clawhauser was being added to photo ops at Disney California Adventure. A new video just dropped that shows that the pair also made it over to Disneyland, and went on the Indiana Jones Adventure attraction, one of the best Disneyland rides, together, and Ke Huy Quan even brought the right hat for the ride. Check it out.

I really enjoyed this experience, and I think Dr. Jones would have too. My only slight disappointment was that “Short Round” wasn’t wearing his hat on the ride – I assume a Cast Member asked him to take it off to keep it from falling, but it definitely made things a little less exciting.
Before starring in Everything Everywhere All At Once, Ke Huy Quan was probably most famous for playing Indiana Jones’s friend in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. It’s a performance many still remember, and a bright spot in a surprisingly good Indiana Jones movie.
Quan and Goodwin seem to be participating in a challenge where they try not to react during the ride. Guests join an expedition entering the Temple of the Forbidden Eye, following Indiana Jones, who ventured in but hasn’t come back. Throughout the ride, passengers encounter snakes, insects, poison darts, and other dangers, while also catching glimpses of Indiana Jones within the attraction.
Quan seems to have failed the challenge because he flinched when a hidden air blast, designed to feel like a dart, hit his head. It’s hard to avoid reacting if you’re unexpectedly hit by a sudden puff of air.
Although Short Round isn’t currently in the Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland, there’s a possibility he could appear in the upcoming new ride. This new Indiana Jones attraction, planned for Disney’s Animal Kingdom, will use a similar ride system as the Disneyland version but feature a different story. It’s replacing the Dinosaur ride as part of the new Tropical Americas area, and construction is expected to begin early next year. Hopefully, Ke Huy Quan will return to experience it himself!
