Kawhi Leonard, Forward, Los Angeles Clippers – 94 OVR (+2)

Even at 34, Kawhi Leonard is still one of the best players in the league in 2026. He’s currently averaging 28 points a game, putting him 10th in the NBA as of January 9th. Plus, the Clippers are playing really well recently, going 7-2 since December 20th. Leonard had a standout performance during that period, scoring 55 points in a 112-99 win against the Pistons.

Keyonte George, Guard, Utah Jazz – 86 OVR (+3)

The Utah Jazz aren’t expected to be a top team this year, but there’s reason to be hopeful, particularly with the development of young players like George. At 22, the guard is currently averaging over 24 points per game – good for 20th in the league – and around seven assists per game, which ranks 13th. It will be interesting to see if he can maintain this level of play and potentially earn a spot in the All-Star game.

Brandon Miller, Forward, Charlotte Hornets – 84 OVR (+3)

It was unfortunate that Miller’s second season was cut short by an injury. Since coming back, he’s continued to play well even though the Hornets haven’t been having a great season. He’s currently averaging 19.4 points per game. Now, as the second pick from the 2023 draft, it’s time for him to consistently perform at a higher level, as his shooting accuracy is just over 40%. It will be interesting to see if he can improve significantly by 2026.

Interestingly, every player on this list currently plays for a team with fewer than 20 wins. Maybe 2K believes they can help improve their team’s performance.
