Kathleen Quinlan and Michelle Hurd Join Jen Lilley in Christmas Movie ‘Holiday Hearts’

Actresses Kathleen Quinlan and Michelle Hurd will be teaming up with Jen Lilley in the cast of “Holiday Hearts,” a festive movie scheduled for release right before Christmas.

Quinlan is an acclaimed actor who gained recognition for her roles in “Apollo 13,” “The Doors,” “How to Get Away With Murder,” and “Prison Break.” Meanwhile, Hurd has shone brightly in series such as “Blindspot,” “Star Trek: Picard,” and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

As a passionate cinephile, I’m excited about the upcoming release of “Holiday Hearts,” directed by Ross Kagan Marks. This marks Lilley’s first holiday film of the year and is an adaptation of Dana Volney’s novella, “A Heart for the Holidays.” The story revolves around Silver Morgenstern (Lilley), a skilled heart surgeon who returns to her hometown and encounters a terminally ill man at the local hospital. Quinlan will portray Silver’s resolute mother, while Hurd is slated to play a seasoned surgeon who engages in professional sparring matches with Silver in the workplace.

Filming for the movie ‘Holiday Hearts’ will commence in Las Cruces, New Mexico this May. According to director Marks, working on this project in his hometown adds a unique significance. In his own words, “Directing ‘Holiday Hearts’ in my beloved town of Las Cruces, New Mexico, is a deeply personal and special opportunity for me. Collaborating with talented actors like Jen Lilley, Michelle Hurd, and Kathleen Quinlan to bring Bill True’s touching script to the screen in a place that holds such importance to me and my family, intensifies the experience.

The self-funded feature film is represented for all sales by Artist View Entertainment, and was collaboratively produced with Inspirado, who were also behind the production of “Santa’s Cousin.” The production of “Holiday Hearts” is credited to Lilley, Ross Marks, Bill True, Keagan Karnes, and Jessica Yingling.
