As an ardent lover of intriguing narratives and captivating performances, I am absolutely thrilled by the assembly of talent gracing the set of “The Artist.” The combination of Katharine McPhee, Jill Hennessy, Ever Anderson, and Ana Mulvoy Ten is nothing short of a theatrical dream come true.

Actresses Katharine McPhee, Jill Hennessy, Ever Anderson, and Ana Mulvay Ten have signed up to appear in the murder-mystery limited television series titled “The Artist.

On free, advertisement-funded platform The Network, the Gilded Age-themed series has added to its cast Mandy Patinkin, Janet McTeer, Danny Huston, Patti LuPone, Hank Azaria, Zachary Quinto, and Clark Gregg – as previously announced.

A seven-part series set to premiere in March 2025 tells the story of famous personalities from the era such as Thomas Edison, Edgar Degas, and Evelyn Nesbit gathering at the residence of an unstable tycoon, who’s on the verge of bankruptcy. The plot thickens when, by the end of the evening, the wealthy man is discovered dead. This sets off a captivating murder mystery within the realm of historical fiction.

In this new production, McPhee, known for roles in “Smash” and “Waitress” on Broadway, takes on the part of early-20th-century vaudeville artist Nora Bayes. Anderson, recognized for her work in “Peter Pan and Wendy” and “Black Widow”, will portray Evelyn Nesbit, the central figure in the notorious Crime of the Century. Hennessy, famous for appearances in “City on a Hill” and “Accused”, will bring her character to life as Evelyn’s mother. Lastly, Mulvoy Ten, who has starred in “Selah and the Spades” and “American Crime”, will embody Lilith, a French dancer who was orphaned at a young age.

The show is currently in production and filming on location in Connecticut.

In the role of creator, executive producer, writer, and director for “The Artist,” its founding network member Aram Rappaport takes center stage. Meanwhile, Hilary Shor, known for her work on “Children of Men” and “The Paperboy,” serves as a producer.

McPhee, Anderson, Hennessy, and Mulvoy Ten are all managed by different talent agencies: McPhee by MJ Entertainment and MGMT Entertainment, Anderson by Untitled Entertainment and CAA, Hennessy by Innovative Artists and Finley Management, and Mulvoy Ten by Talentworks and Strand Ent.
