During the Super Bowl, Kanye West purchased another local TV commercial to showcase his Yeezy clothing line, which was viewable by residents in Los Angeles this time around.
The low-fi commercial, claimed by West to have been filmed using an iPhone, guided viewers towards his brand’s yeezy.com webpage. In this advertisement, West mentioned that he was waiting at the dentist. Although it wasn’t broadcasted nationwide, it was advertised in at least one significant local market, specifically Los Angeles.
He mentioned that he used up all his funds for advertising his latest set of teeth, and as a result, had to film the commercial using an iPhone. After that, he awkwardly urged them to visit yeezy.com.
The environment depicted in the advertisement – a dental chair – might be hinting at allegations made by Milo Yiannopoulos, West’s former chief of staff, from last year. He claimed that a renowned dentist induced West’s addiction to nitrous oxide with the intention of extorting millions of dollars from him. Yiannopoulos subsequently posted conversations in group chats between himself, the dentist, and West, where West asked for nitrous and the dentist complied.
The advertisement emerges as West faces criticism from the Anti-Defamation League and the American Jewish Committee, following his controversial statements on platform X. In this rant, the rapper referred to himself as a Nazi, praised Hitler, and asserted that Jewish people often struggle to collaborate with him, among other racially charged comments. West has made it clear that he will not apologize for his remarks about Jews.
Additionally, West generated attention on Sunday, not just during the Grammys, but also afterward. His spouse, Bianca Censori, shed her fur coat to unveil a sheer dress, exposing herself fully to the camera lens.
Previously, an advertisement for yeezy.com was purchased by West and shown during the Super Bowl. However, this commercial didn’t air in New York City or Los Angeles.
