The upcoming Netflix limited series titled “Apple Cider Vinegar,” focusing on the deceptive Australian social media personality Belle Gibson, has just released a fresh trailer and will debut on February 6th.
The film ‘Apple Cider Vinegar,’ which takes place during Instagram’s early days, focuses on two young women fighting life-threatening illnesses by promoting health and wellness. As they gain influence within their online communities, questions arise about the authenticity of their journey. Netflix describes it as a ‘somewhat true story,’ chronicling the rise and fall of a wellness empire, and the society that embraced it, as well as those who exposed its deception.
In the preview, character Kaitlyn Dever‘s role, Belle, endeavors to connect with influential blogger Milla Blake, portrayed by Alycia Debnam-Carey. Initially, they appear as allies, but their relationship soon transforms into a competitive one. Chanelle (played by Aisha Dee) advises Milla that Belle merely needs a little help from her professionally. To which Milla replies, “Naturally she does, she’s in competition with me.” Scenes follow where we see Belle navigating hospital equipment and gaining more popularity on Instagram. In a later conversation over the phone, Milla expresses her desire to undermine Belle by saying, “I want to bring her down.
In addition to Dever, Debnam-Carey, and Dee, the ensemble also features Tilda Cobham-Hervey, Ashley Zukerman, Mark Coles Smith, Susie Porter, Matt Nable, Phoenix Raei, Chai Hansen, Rick Davies, Kieran Darcy-Smith, Catherine McClements, and Essie Davis.
