Kai Cenat broke the Twitch subscription record again, reaching over 728,600 subscribers while live streaming his Mafiathon 3 event.
The record for the most Twitch subscriptions at one time has been broken several times recently. In March 2023, Kai Cenat’s stream hit 306,621 subscribers, surpassing the previous record held by Ludwig. Later that year, VTuber Ironmouse raised the bar even higher with 326,252 subscribers during her charity livestream.
In late 2024, Cenat hosted Mafiathon 2, a stream that helped him reach a record-breaking 728,532 subscribers – more than double the number Ironmouse had at the time.
Kai Cenat is currently streaming his third marathon broadcast, and he’s already broken another record. On the 24th day of the stream, he surpassed his previous peak of 728,532 subscriptions, setting a new record for Twitch.
Kai Cenat breaks Twitch sub record yet again
Like past events, Mafiathon 3 delivered constant entertainment and featured popular guests, which helped attract new subscribers. The month-long structure kept viewers engaged and drove up the subscriber count, making each stream a unique and memorable event on Twitch.
Previously, Ninja reached a peak of 269,000 subscribers in April 2018. Kai Cenat’s recent stream surpassed that number by more than double, solidifying his position as a leading streamer on the platform.
Things are still moving quickly for Cenat, who aims to reach 1 million total Twitch subscribers. He’s had this goal since the start, and there’s a lot riding on it: if he hits the target, LeBron James has agreed to appear on his stream and give him a haircut.

Cenat pledged last year to donate 15% of his subscription earnings to build a school in Nigeria, a commitment that immediately drew criticism.
