Justin Hartley Teases Tracker Season 3 Return With New Mysteries

Good news for fans! Justin Hartley, the star of the show, suggests the remaining episodes of the third season will finally deliver answers they’ve been waiting for, especially regarding the character Colter Shaw and his survival skills.

Justin Hartley shared some details about the upcoming return of his popular show, suggesting fans will finally get some answers. Speaking at the Golden Globes, he told Entertainment Tonight that the new season will focus on the family’s ongoing issues. He explained that the previous season left viewers with many unanswered questions, and this season will aim to resolve those storylines and provide a sense of completion.

As Hartley and many viewers probably expect, resolving these mysteries will likely create even more questions. He explained that, like with any good story, answering one question often leads to several new ones, and they anticipate this will happen a lot.

Sofia Pernas, Hartley’s wife and co-star on Tracker (she played Colter’s rival, Billie Matalon, in the first two seasons), also offered some thoughts on what viewers can expect. She described the upcoming storylines as a “nesting doll of mystery,” building on what her husband had said.

It’s still unknown if Tracker will be renewed for a fourth season, and whether the writers will be able to resolve all the current storylines in the remaining episodes. However, the Season 3 premiere attracted a strong audience in its first week, according to Variety, suggesting a renewal is likely – which would be good news for the cast and crew, including those who also worked on This Is Us.

“Yeah, let’s go,” Hartley responded to the mention of more potential Tracker seasons.

Tracker‘s Future Episodes May Contain Another Unexpected CBS Crossover

I’m really excited about what’s coming up on the show, though Hartley’s keeping most of the details under wraps! But Jason Ritter, who’s also on CBS, recently talked about a possible crossover. Last fall, he suggested it would be amazing to see Colter team up with his character, Julian Markston, and honestly, I think he’s right – that would be a fantastic pairing!

Ritter suggested that if the show Tracker ever needs a partner for Colter, Julian might be a good fit, potentially leaving his law firm to start a new chapter. The idea of Colter and Julian becoming a popular duo isn’t unrealistic. Given Julian’s past consideration of leaving law school, a sudden career shift wouldn’t be surprising for the senior partner at Jacobson Moore.

You can now watch Tracker on Paramount+. New episodes will also air on CBS starting in March. Beginning March 1st, catch the latest episodes of Tracker on Sundays at 9 p.m. Eastern Time.
