Junji Ito anime
Many well-known manga artists have seen their work turned into anime, and Junji Ito is no exception. While the anime adaptation of Uzumaki wasn’t a perfect translation of the manga, it was still a genuinely frightening series and one of the more significant attempts to adapt his work for television.
Uzumaki became available on Blu-ray last month, and a special Limited Edition Steelbook was released featuring a beautiful cover and character art of Shuichi Saito and Kirie Goshima. The regular Blu-ray also has attractive artwork, and both versions include extras like trailers, promotional content, and an art gallery.
The Junji Ito Collection: The Complete Series Blu-ray includes all 24 episodes based on Ito’s popular short story collections like The Masterpiece Collection, Fragments of Horror, and Shiver. It’s usually priced at $65, but is currently available for $45.49.
