As a gamer who’s been following Jujutsu Kaisen since its inception, I must say that the recent epilogue was a delightful surprise. The story of Panda, especially, took me by storm and left me yearning for more.
The revelation that Yuta Okkotsu, a distant relative of Satoru Gojo, became the head of the Gojo family in 2035 was nothing short of astounding. I mean, come on! The guy’s not even a Gojo by blood, yet he inherited the mantle once held by the mighty Satoru Gojo himself. It just goes to show you that sometimes, it’s not about the surname, but the power and potential within.
However, I have to admit, I couldn’t help but chuckle at the thought of Yuta, a man of few words, leading an influential clan with political significance. I can just imagine him in a high-collar kimono, sitting atop a throne, uttering his famous line: “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Nonetheless, the epilogue left many questions unanswered regarding Yuta’s activities as the head of the Gojo family. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how Gege Akutami decides to continue this captivating story. Until then, I’ll be here, eagerly anticipating the next chapter in Yuta’s journey.
Despite the fact that the finale of Jujutsu Kaisen was published a few months ago, Gege Akutami decided to delight fans in the final volume by adding a new epilogue. This epilogue serves as a conclusion for several storylines and includes four tales. One of these stories revolves around Panda, a character from Jujutsu High’s second class who also includes Maki, Toge, and Yuta as his peers.
In the tale of Panda, readers were transported to the future, given a glimpse of events unfolding in 2035 and 2080 within the narrative of JJK. This allowed us to understand that Panda had retired by 2035, finding himself stored in the Gojo family’s storage facility. As it turns out, this artifact belonged to Yuta Okkotsu, who assumed the leadership role within the Gojo family at that time – a position previously held by Satoru Gojo during his lifetime as the head of his clan.
Although Yuta doesn’t share the Gojo surname, he is distantly related to Satoru. Much like Satoru, Yuta traces his ancestry back to Michizane Sugawara, one of the most potent sorcerers ever known. This bloodline connection seems to have been enough for Yuta to earn a prominent position within this influential family.
However, it wasn’t just familial ties that made him suitable for such a significant role; instead, it was likely Yuta’s high-ranking status as one of the most powerful living sorcerers that sealed his selection. In their realm, there are few who can rival his power, making him an ideal fit to assume the role of Satoru.
Beyond learning nearly all from Satoru, Yuta effectively took over his master’s mission to reshape the realm of sorcerers. As the leader of the influential and politically significant Gojo family – one of the three major clans in jujutsu – Yuta assumed a prominent role in this field. However, the epilogue remained cryptic about the specific actions taken by Yuta as head of the Gojo clan.
