Johnny Somali confirms nuisance streaming return as South Korean trial approaches

Controversial live streamer Johnny Somali, who is facing a trial in South Korea for his in-stream behavior, has declared that he will resume streaming.

Under a different moniker, Ramsey Khalid Ismael (formerly known as Johnny Somali), plans his forthcoming streaming project, assuring that he will persist in instigating turmoil despite encountering legal difficulties due to past broadcasts.

2024 saw Somali, infamous for causing chaos in Japan and Israel, pay a visit to South Korea. Predictably, he resumed his mischievous behavior, igniting controversy by planting a kiss on the Statue of Peace – a symbol honoring victims of sexual enslavement during wartime.

A streamer who had been prohibited from using Kick, faced accusations for disrupting commercial activities. This occurred when he reportedly created chaos in a 7-Eleven store and delayed a bus journey by playing excessively loud music.

Although he was scheduled for a court appearance on March 7, Somali has finally spoken up, expressing his intention to resume streaming and already having chosen his next goal.

Johnny Somali plots more trouble in South Korea

According to posts made by the user ‘canceljohnnys’, who keeps track of problematic streamers in Asia, Johnny Somali announced his return to streaming.

In a recent post on his Discord, Somali suggested that the popular Twitch streamer, Ice Poseidon, might face some confrontation or trouble during his stay in South Korea.

“Just give me the times and dates,” he said.

In another comment, Somali revealed that he’d be streaming on either Rumble or Parti.

“I’m down to go to Parti,” Somali added. “I really don’t care, I just miss streaming.”

Previously, Somali has suggested before that he might rejoin the group. As far back as January, the streamer SlightlyHomeless was journeying with Ice Poseidon, and during a live call to Johnny on Kick for advice about a girl, Somali indicated he would link up with them in Busan and urged them to assist him in getting unbanned from Kick.

Let’s monitor the progress of Somali’s streaming activity and determine if any additional actions lead to further legal accusations being made against him.

In addition to the obstruction of business charges, he’s also been accused of violating anti-terrorism laws, threatening to sexually assault female streamers, drug use, creating AI deepfakes of other creators, violating the Railroad Act and even spreading North Korean propaganda.
