Actor John Turturro from the show “Severance” and Tom Rothman from Sony will be recognized at the Museum of Moving Image’s annual gala, the Spring Moving Image Awards, which is scheduled for June 9th.
The prizes will be handed out at the Sumner M. Redstone Theater, while a dinner is planned for the Hearst Lobby at the museum located in Queens, New York.
Actor John Turturro reappeared in Season 2 of Apple TV+’s “Severance” as Irving, a mysterious Lumon company employee. He was also spotted in Pedro Almodóvar’s movie “The Room Next Door” from last year, portraying Damian, a trusted ally to Julianne Moore’s character. Turturro took home an Emmy award for his role on the show “Monk” back in 2004.
Currently, Rothman holds the roles of both chairman and CEO for Sony Pictures Entertainment’s Motion Picture Group. In this capacity, he has been responsible for films like “Little Women,” “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” and “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.” Prior to this position, Rothman was the founder of Fox Searchlight and served as the chairman and CEO of Fox Filmed Entertainment.
