The 41-year-old, who is often hailed as the world’s best eater, demonstrated yet again why he stands head and shoulders above the rest.
In a stunning display, Chestnut swiftly stacked up an astounding 53 containers filled with classic Canadian dishes within merely 10 minutes, leaving all other competitors far behind, as the runner-up could only manage about 19 pounds in the same timeframe.

Chestnut’s poutine dominance continues in 2025
The hearty combination of fries, gravy, and cheese curds that is poutine isn’t the simplest dish to consume in large quantities. Contestants at Smoke’s Poutinerie’s yearly competition had to rapidly gobble up one box after another. For Chestnut, however, it seemed almost ordinary.
Regarding the impressive amount he devoured, it didn’t break his own previous record set in 2019, when Chestnut ate 28 pounds of poutine within 10 minutes, a feat that remains unmatched to this day.
Today, Joey Chestnut didn’t quite break his world record of consuming 28 pounds (or 56 boxes) of poutine in 10 minutes, but he still managed an impressive 53 boxes (equaling approximately 26.5 pounds) to win the World Poutine Eating Championship.
