Joe Rogan sheds tears on JRE podcast recounting how he had to be evacuated

On episode 2268 of his podcast, Joe Rogan became deeply moved and even cried, recounting that he was forced to leave three times because of wildfires. Unfortunately, not all of his neighbors shared the same fate.

Come January 2025, fires ravaged Los Angeles, forcing countless residents from their charred homes – a scenario not unfamiliar to Rogan.

During the interview with Rick Caruso, the entrepreneur shared an estimate that approximately 180,000 individuals have found themselves without permanent housing.

Rogan contested the specific figure, pointing out that many Los Angeles residents were not impoverished, but instead searching for a suitable dwelling. Yet, he remembered his personal encounters with wildfires – an event that significantly resonated with the UFC commentator on a personal level.

Joe Rogan gets emotional revealing how neighbors lost their homes

As reported by Joe Rogan, he needed to leave his Los Angeles residence on no fewer than three occasions, and found it slightly challenging to articulate himself clearly while giving an account of these incidents.

He shared that two houses belonging to his neighbors had been destroyed. Witnessing those people weep at the site of what used to be their homes was truly heart-wrenching, he said.

The disclosure triggered a choked-up response from Joe, who dabbed at his eyes as they filled with unshed tears – an uncommon display of emotion for the renowned podcaster.

He mentioned that this happened in the year 2018, and some of them were reconstructed. However, two homes are still missing in his old neighborhood. Unfortunately, they didn’t rebuild those houses; instead, they were removed. It feels like he has no idea what to do next because he lost everything. This situation reminds him of Mel Gibson who lost valuable books from the 1600s.

During the conversation, Rogan delved into the political hurdles regarding the fires and their prevention moving forward. This discussion struck a chord with Californians who chose to listen.

A YouTube user commented that this interview was deeply moving and particularly resonated with those who comprehend the hardships faced by the homeless and the sorrows prevalent in Los Angeles.

“You know what, Joe Rogan is a great dude with a heart of gold! F**k all the haters,” another said.

It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first instance where the podcast host has provided significant information about fires. On an episode of Joe Rogan Experience dated January 19, 2024, Rogan discussed the unbelievable wildfire warnings he received from a firefighter, which subsequently proved to be accurate.
