Jeremy Allen White, star of the show, recently told Vogue that they haven’t started filming Season 5 yet. He explained that while they filmed the last season finale in 2024, they also shot earlier episodes around that time, making it feel like a while ago.
Jeremy Allen White described his character, Carmy, as having a major emotional release and being very honest in the season finale. He explained that Carmy is simply trying to make the best decisions he can. Looking back on the experience a year later felt unusual, but White particularly enjoyed filming the final episode, which was done like a stage play with three cameras focusing on him, Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Abby Elliott.
That final scene we shot for the show? It was a real undertaking – took about 36 minutes each time, and we did it at least four times! Honestly, I’m always blown away by Christopher Storer’s writing and how he builds these characters. I truly love working with that whole cast and, if I could, I’d happily keep acting alongside them forever.
The show The Bear centers around Carmy Berzatto, a talented chef who comes home to Chicago after his brother’s death. He takes over the family’s struggling Italian beef sandwich shop and tries to turn things around. The cast also includes Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ayo Edebiri, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Abby Elliott, Matty Matheson, and Edwin Lee Gibson.
The Bear Has Been Nominated For Several Awards
When it first came out, critics loved The Bear, especially its writing, directing, and acting. Throughout its four seasons, the show won an impressive 21 Primetime Emmy Awards and 5 Golden Globe Awards. Currently, it has a 93% rating from critics and a 76% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Donna Berzatto recently earned an Emmy nomination for her appearance on the show. While she dismissed rumors of a potential spinoff series in July, she expressed deep affection for the program, calling it “beautiful” and sharing her excitement about being involved. She’s been a fan since the beginning, praising the show’s compelling stories and well-developed characters.
