It feels odd even writing this about Jeopardy!, but it’s true: someone on the show’s team had the fantastic idea to collect every clip of hosts Alex Trebek and Ken Jennings saying the phrase “These nuts.” Seriously, whoever came up with that deserves a bonus! I really appreciate that the show includes the complete clues and contestants’ answers. Knowing the full context makes the funny moments – like when the host says “These nuts” – even funnier, and it’s actually pretty interesting to learn the background too! The longer the video goes on, the more I laugh hearing Ken Jennings or Alex Trebek deliver the line with different emphasis, depending on the clue.
Seeing this really solidified something for me: you truly do your best work when you’re passionate about what you do. I mean, someone who’s just going through the motions at a job they dislike definitely wouldn’t come up with something creative like a ‘These nuts’ compilation video! It’s clear when someone loves what they’re doing.
