Twitch streamer JasonTheWeen no longer supports singer D4vd following new information related to an investigation involving a body found in a car registered to the artist.
On September 8, 2025, police found a body in the front trunk of a Tesla owned by D4vd, also known as David Anthony Burke. The body was identified as Celeste Rivas, a 15-year-old who had been missing since April 2024.
Streamer walks back support after backlash
After previously speaking up for D4vd, Jason addressed the developing situation in a September 19th stream, saying he strongly disapproved of D4vd’s actions. He described them as awful and shocking.
Jason, who worked with D4vd on the song “Summer Uptown,” previously mentioned on a stream with Ludwig that he didn’t believe D4vd was involved in whatever was being discussed. He pointed out that D4vd performed a show the very next day, and if he were a suspect, the police would likely have been investigating him.
Okay, so I just saw JasonTheWeen walk back some things he said about D4vd. Apparently, they weren’t actually close friends like he initially implied – they only worked on one song together and grabbed dinner once. He also cleared up that the Celeste he was hanging out with on stream isn’t the same Celeste R. that people are talking about. Just wanted to share that in case anyone was confused!

He also explained that Celeste, someone he’d met before at the FaZe House, wasn’t the same Celeste who was in D4vd’s car.
The streamer explained that they aren’t close friends with D4vd. They only collaborated on a song and had dinner with him once as part of a group. That’s the extent of their relationship.
D4vd has ended his U.S. tour following the confirmation of a death, and is working with investigators. His team hasn’t released any further details publicly.
