Three well-known British actors have teamed up with Guy Ritchie for his upcoming movie “Wife & Dog.” This film marks another excursion by the director into the vibrant, treacherous milieu of the upper-class society in Britain (a world he previously delved into through the film and TV series “The Gentleman”).
Actors James Norton, Paddy Considine, and Pip Torrens have joined the cast of a currently-in-production film. They join previously announced stars Cosmo Jarvis, Benedict Cumberbatch, Rosamund Pike, and Anthony Hopkins.
Wife & Dog” was initially introduced by EbMaster, penned by Ritchie, and co-produced with long-time partner Ivan Atkinson, who has also worked on movies like “The Gentlemen” and “Wrath of Man”. Additionally, John Friedberg from Black Bear Pictures, known for films such as “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare” and “Ferrari”, is also a producer. The executive producers are Teddy Schwarzman and Michael Heimler for Black Bear, along with Louise Killin. Last year at Cannes, Black Bear began selling this project, making it their third collaboration with Ritchie and Atkinson following “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare” and “In the Grey”.
The movie is included in the lineup of films presented by Black Bear at EFM, alongside other titles such as “Spa Weekend,” a comedy featuring Leslie Mann and Isla Fisher, produced by the team behind “Bad Moms”; “Tuner,” a heist thriller starring Leo Woodall and Dustin Hoffman; “Pendulum,” a genre film led by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, written by Mark Heyman from “Black Swan”; an unnamed film directed by David Michôd about Christy Martin, with Sydney Sweeney playing the champion boxer; and “I Want Your Sex,” a thought-provoking thriller starring Olivia Wilde, directed by Gregg Araki.
As a movie enthusiast, I’m associated with three different talent agencies: William Morris Endeavor (WME), The Artists Partnership, and Tapestry London. My co-star Norton shares the same representation with me at WME and Tapestry London, while being represented by The Artists Partnership individually. Considine, another actor in our movie, is also represented by three agencies: Creative Artists Agency (CAA), Independent Talent Group, and Tapestry London, similar to myself. Lastly, Torrens is exclusively represented by the Independent Talent Group.
