The comic ‘Superman for All Seasons,’ by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale, also greatly influenced my approach.

Gunn elaborated that he and his DC Studios team are aiming for a fresh approach to this universe, something unlike what audiences have seen before. He plans to draw inspiration from immersive worlds like those in Game of Thrones and Star Wars – focusing on strong world-building and fantasy elements rather than solely relying on comic book source material.
