Legendary action star Jackie Chan has wrapped up main filming for “The Shadow’s Edge,” a nail-biting thriller. This is his second project with director Larry Yang from China. Their first collaboration, “Ride On,” was a massive hit in Asia in 2023, breaking records as Japan’s top-grossing Chinese import and making it to the list of Malaysia’s top three Chinese films of the year.
In the vibrant, neon-bathed cityscape of Macau, I find myself reemerging from retirement, summoned by the local police to aid them. My mission: guide a group of talented young detectives in their pursuit of an ingenious band of robbers that’s been outsmarting law enforcement. The plot unfolds as a gripping battle between traditional surveillance methods and modern technology, often leaving us in a nerve-wracking game of cat and mouse.
