Jack Doherty gifts cameraman luxury jet ski after viral McLaren crash injuries

As a seasoned gamer with a keen eye for online drama, I must say, Jack Doherty is a character straight out of a virtual reality game. The McLaren crash and his subsequent “I’m sorry gift” to his cameraman have certainly turned heads, but not necessarily in the way he intended.

In a turn of events, the streaming personality Jack Doherty, who was recently banned from Twitch, is repaying his cameraman generously with an extravagant present, following an incident where he damaged his McLaren and requested his employee to document it for his channel.

On October 5, Jack Doherty ignited widespread online fury when he decided to drive his McLaren 520s sports car along the freeway amidst a rainy weather condition.

While out for a drive, he unfortunately lost grip of the wheel and collided with a nearby barrier. Shaken, Doherty stepped out of the car and requested his camera operator, clearly injured from the crash, to record him feigning surprise for his broadcast.

It didn’t take long for Doherty to receive a permanent ban from Kick, and co-owner Adin Ross stated that if Jack wants any chance of having his punishment lifted, he’ll need to pay a substantial amount.

Without a doubt, Doherty has been the focus of much online anger due to this event; however, he managed to apologize to his cameraman by giving him an expensive gift.

On October 9th, I shared a powerful gift with one of my team members, Michael – a 300-horsepower, supercharged jet ski. I affectionately dubbed it my “apology present,” as he had been unintentionally entangled in the McLaren crash incident.

I’ve been longing for this moment, quite honestly, for a while,” I shared, explaining the anticipation that filled me. “Today marks a special day for me, but in a way, it feels like our day too, considering the ordeal I put him through a few days back.

“The incredibly vibrant blue jet ski left Michael utterly astonished, prompting him to quip that the crash experience was indeed a worthwhile price for the eventual present he received.

On the contrary, critics argue that this gesture doesn’t resolve the issue. Instead, they suggest that Doherty may have offered his cameraman a jet ski as a form of payment to avoid a potential lawsuit.

“Here’s a jetski, please don’t sue me bro,” one viewer joked.

In reality, you’re not genuinely concerned for your filmmaker; instead, your actions suggest that you’re involved due to the public criticism.

“Bro thought this was gonna make us forgive him,” yet another wrote.

After the crash, Doherty has shifted to alternative platforms as a way to earn money since he was banned on Kick. This move, however, has attracted the same kind of criticism from internet users.
