It’s a M3gannomenon

The success of “M3gan” paved the way for a second installment. With its box-office triumph and viral presence on Twitter, Atomic Monster and Blumhouse are preparing for “M3gan 2.0”, albeit with an underwhelming title choice (one might wonder why Meg4n wasn’t considered). Gerard Johnstone will be writing and directing the sequel. Fans have been captivated by the robot doll since the initial trailer release, where Model 3 Generative Android showcases a cool dance move before her next act. Allison Williams shared with Vulture that fans instantly understand the doll’s iconic status, “The memes they’re creating — our job is done.” It turns out, “M3gan” has ensured the entire team remains occupied if they choose to continue working on it. Here’s a guide for the upcoming “M3gan” sequel.

Who’s M3gan torturing this time?

Some familiar faces are set to return for more, including Williams, Violet McGraw, Brian Jordan Alvarez, and Jen Van Epps reprising their previous parts. In addition, Amie Donald will once again take on the role of M3gan as both the physical form and Jenna Davis will provide the eerie voice. Joining them are a few newcomers: Ivanna Sakhno as character Amelia, along with Timm Sharp, Aristotle Athari, and Jemaine Clement in undisclosed roles.

What’s it about?

Two years after the initial film, Gemma (Williams) transforms into an author and champion for AI regulation. However, when a defense contractor illicitly uses the technology behind M3gan to create their own malevolent AI-controlled robot named Amelia, who aims to conquer the world, Gemma revives an upgraded version of M3gan with the mission to neutralize Amelia.
