IT: Welcome To Derry Live Blog Starts Here

Welcome to our live blog! We’re reporting from a secret spot near Derry that, thankfully, seems safe from all the town’s scary stuff – at least, that’s what our plumbing is telling us, and we’re choosing to believe it. The episode is starting soon, so let’s kick things off with a quick poll for you to answer while you watch!

A Musical Opening And Special Message

Fans will be happy to hear that Episode 2 is arriving early! It will start streaming on Halloween night, two days sooner than originally planned.

The new series, Welcome to Derry, kicks off just as horror fans expected—with a creepy character reminiscent of The Music Man and a child who sneaks into the show without paying. It’s hitting all the classic horror tropes so far.

We’re introduced to Ronnie Grogan and Stephen Rider, played by Amanda Christine and her father Hank Grogan. So far, Ronnie seems like a genuinely good person, though it’s still early to tell if that will remain true. It would take some seriously bad behavior to change that first impression.

Here it is – the sign we’ve been talking about! It’s much rarer to see a sign that’s also the title of something, especially when the topic involves Paul Bunyan.

Nightmare Car Ride

Hitchhiking in Derry should be avoided at all costs.

I really doubt this is a good family for this child to be with. The son appears unwell in the video, which is a bad sign for Matty’s safety.

Things quickly went from awkward to completely crazy. I never liked liver, and this just confirms why. After witnessing that disaster – seriously, it was a total mess – I definitely don’t want to watch another spelling bee ever again.

The conversation was disturbing – filled with talk of vasectomies, strangulation, and other frightening things, all during a stressful car ride. If there were ever a situation where accidentally harming a pregnant woman might be understandable, it would be if she were carrying something truly monstrous – like the terrifying creature that emerges from her body.

I mean, WTF was that thing?

Leroy Hanlon Arrives At The Military Base

This scene doesn’t rely heavily on explaining things upfront, but I’m really curious about what Chris Chalk’s character, Dick Halloran – the quiet driver – is thinking.
